3. Day Trips
5/9-5/10
Verona was one of my favorite stops during the trip. It felt like a traditional, small, italian town. The sidewalks were large to comfortably walk, there were cars but not enough to feel like you were about to be ran over at every corner. It was peaceful. We visited the colloseum first and there turned out to be an opera that night they were rehersing while we were there.

Verona
The entire city surrounded the colloseum. The large, noticable landmark, combined with a small size of the city made it the easiest to navigate.

Castle Vecchio

Verona
Castle Vecchio was very neat to see where nights would have stormedd the castle, where arches would have been posted as well as the design of the musuems interior. Leaving space between the floor and the walls gave more emphasis on the originality.
Veccenza was a fun day trip. It was raining the whole time we were there whcih made it difficult to enjoiy the town to its fullest. Sketching the Paladian Basilica and especially villa Rotunda was extremely difficult to do well.
