4. Florence Arrival
5/11-5/12
The first night of Florence was once of my favorites. After the long delay for room introductions and crazy taxi rides, we made it to Piazza Michelangelo during its golden hour.
The view was incredible.
To the right was a flight of stairs leading to a blue and white church ornate in its simplicity.

To the left was a skyline full of little red squares.

Piercing the cover was a large watch tower and, of course, the Duomo.
I would soon find out that this building was the guiding landmark that can be seen throughout the small city of Florence as well as a beacon for directions. The first time I witnessed this building up close, my vision swirled a bit. I couldn't comprehend its height and grandeur.
